We were death and shadow, we were nightmares come alive, we were vampires, we were Ulfhednar.

Thirty years have passed since vampire king Tyr Ulfhednar was torn from his throne and banished to the bottom of the sea. Freed from his prison, his hunger consumes him, and he breaks the oath he holds most dear. Tyr doesn’t know what to expect when he returns home to Scarlet Harbor, but even a thousand years of existence can’t prepare him for her.

Newly-turned vampire queen Ashley King does her best to rise to the never-ending challenges of ruling over Scarlet Harbor. When a sexy, powerful stranger shows up on her doorstep with a claim to her throne, she’s as tempted to kill him as she is to kiss him. But this perceived enemy might just be the only chance she has at conquering the trials that lie ahead, if he doesn’t conquer her first.

--------

Ruled was just published on Amazon, and I'm already missing the vampires that were swimming around in my head for the better part of a year. This always happens after the final book, where all of the threads have been wrapped up, but the love for those characters remains. Ruled was especially fun to write, with the chance to get inside Ashley's head, but it was also hard to tell some of the stories from Tyr's past that needed to be told. There's the journey of two people coming together to overcome the obstacles that have been stacked against them, and a past that comes back to haunt. I hope you love reading Ruled as much as I loved writing it.

Hunted--Just Published!

If I blinked, he could be gone. If I blinked, I could be dead.

Hunting vampires isn’t a burden for jet-setter Violet Fields—it’s life’s greatest adventure. When her prey starts to migrate, Violet is determined to uncover the reason why. After traveling the world and saving countless innocent lives, she thought she’d seen it all…until she meets him.

Ruthless vampire Walter Chapman has fought his share of enemies for over two centuries, and throughout it all, he's survived, with style. His greatest challenge isn’t the century-long rivalry that brings trouble to Scarlet Harbor, but a human woman who steals his heart. If he can't bring the vampire conflict to a successful resolution, his and Violet's eternal love story might be over before it's begun.

-----------------------------

Vampires of Scarlet Harbor Book Two--Hunted is live! I love when a jerk turns out to be just the right amount of lovable. Walter isn't so bad. You just have to give him a chance to prove it. And just like Pierced brought together a wolf shifter and a vampire in forbidden, eternal love, Hunted pairs a vicious vampire with a badass vampire hunter.

One of my favorite scenes in the series so far is in book two, and involves cake. I'd love to hear what you think of Violet, of Hunted, and of the Vampires of Scarlet Harbor. There's just one more story left to tell in this trilogy. Think you know who gets their HEA in book three?

Pierced is live! Yay!

My first release for 2017 is full of vampire and shiftery goodness. Pierced is a self-contained story, that sets up a new city full of possibilities. Scarlet Harbor belongs to vampires, some ruthless, some not so much. Check out the blurb:

Late-night hunts for a crazed serial killer, a vampire-obsessed best friend, and a mountain of classwork is enough for any woman to juggle. But Hannah Lewis isn't just any coed. She happens to make the best microwaved brownies in Scarlet Harbor. Plus, she's a wolf shifter.

On a mission to investigate reports of zombie-like monsters terrorizing the masses, vampire Bennet Pierce is prepared for anything—except for the blue-eyed vixen that changes everything. How can he protect her from harm if he himself is a threat?

And just in case you're wondering, yes this will be a series. Hannah and Bennet get their happily ever after, but there are a lot more stories to be told in Scarlet Harbor. When book two is in the works, I'll add a series name. Want more vampires? Leave a review and let me know. I read each and every review, and take your feedback into consideration when writing my next novel. Well, what are you waiting for? Grab a hot cup of coffee, snuggle up in a blanket, hide from the winter weather, and check out Pierced. :)

Life's been busy since my last post. But when is it not, right?

Writing has been a bit slower for me recently, with the annual attack of nasty elementary school germs. But fever or not, I promise I'm still working every day on my next big project. What project is that? Well, I'm excited to share that it involves vampires.

Pierced is the first of my books that is not at all related to the Sawtooth Peaks characters. But it is still the same world, so all of the usual rules apply. There are shifters, vampires, and paranormal-loving humans. It will be completely standalone, full of action and fun, and of course include a happy ending.

I know. I know. It says cover reveal right up there at the top, and you're still waiting to see it. Okay, go ahead. I won't make you wait any longer.

After I added the final touch of the little swirly thing down at the bottom, I found myself staring at the cover in all its glory. I smiled to myself and thought--this is the best cover yet.

What do you think? Do you love it as much as I do? Are you looking forward to the release of Pierced as much as I am? I'm hoping to have everything completed by the end of February, though at this point I can't say for sure. Fingers crossed.

Until next time!
