All the Dragons!

The start of the new year has brought a lot of firsts for me, all a part of one fabulous project that I am super stoked to share. It's been a scary, wonderful, empowering ride completing the first book in my newest series.

• Spellbound Souls is all about the dragons. In the past, I've only touched on one of the biggest favorites in the shifter genre. In the new series, dragons are stepping forward into the spotlight to lead.
• It's a reverse harem trilogy. I've been reading a lot of these lately--a happily ever after story where the heroine has three fated mates instead of one. It's not a love triangle with bickering and angsty drama about picking which guy is for her. It's all of them, and it's a lot of fun.
• I'm designing swag. Lip gloss and bookmarks are in the works! It's something I've wanted to do forever, but haven't gotten around to it. Now's the time.
• I have a coauthor. You may have noticed my most recent books have been edited by my awesome author buddy Liza Street. Well, if you haven't, now you know. We're working together on this series, and we really complement each other in writing style.
• It's extra long. Most of my books run somewhere between 40,000 and 55,000 words. Dragon Shattered is longer. The current draft is about three hundred words shy of 60,000.
• I'm getting out there and being more social. It can be scary for introverted creative types *raises hand slowly, but hopes no one is watching.* One of the benefits of working with a coauthor is that I'm not just responsible to do these things for myself, but extra motivated because I know she's counting on me. You'll see us around in the next few weeks being social, and participating in author spotlights and takeovers. I'm totally terrified. Please hold my hand.
