There's still lots of editing to be done, but while you wait, enjoy your first look at the cover for my upcoming novel, Enemies.
So I just finished my first draft of Protectors of the Pack book two. To celebrate, I want to share the new cover with you! Yay! I went through a number of titles for this book, because nothing felt just right. Now it's set. Protectors of the Pack book two is titled Enemies. I wanted something simple, yet something that described more of what the book's about than just who one of the characters is. Enemies fits book two the same way Bodyguard fits its story, which is exactly what I was going for.

With the final chapter of the Riverwood series completed, I’m on to my next adventure. My first thought was, after a three-novel story that came together in an epic finale, how do I top that? The answer of course is, I don’t. Protectors of the Pack isn’t the next Riverwood. Bodyguard has its own feel, and doesn’t need to build into the same type of story.
I had some overarching plot ideas that deal with the antagonists introduced in Bodyguard, so you’ll see the struggle with the Silent Butchers across all three books. But each book has its own story about a single couple. Book two is Zoe and Witt’s story. Witt of course is Reynolds’s twin, so the fun begins with a case of mistaken identity. After the mostly serious nature of Grizzly Fate, I was ready to write something lighter, and a bit sillier. I’m more than half way through the first draft, and am having a great time playing with the interactions between Zoe and Witt. What you can expect: mistaken identity that leads to awkward situations, a reluctant assassin, hot sex, more familiar faces, a full length novel (unlike Bodyguard, which is a novella), and a happily ever after for the couple. When I figure out the title, I’ll get the cover completed and share it with you. It’s just sitting there waiting for me to come up with something awesome. And now it’s time for me to get back to writing. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I'm happy to announce my next series: Protectors of the Pack!
After the final book of Riverwood is published in August, I'll be continuing the Greenville story I started in Bodyguard. There will be an overarching plot that continues through all three books, but each will focus on a different couple. Because Riverwood focuses on a single story, I want to complete that plot before working on any other projects. Liam and Emma demand their happily ever after! With this announcement comes a brand new cover for Bodyguard, since I want all three books in the series to share a similar look. Check out the new cover and let me know what you think! As the title of this post suggests, Bodyguard was just published on Amazon this morning!
Bodyguard is a standalone novella set in the forest between Sawtooth Peaks and Greenville. The story can be read before or after the Sawtooth Peaks series, or entirely on its own. Reynolds and Alex get their happily ever after, but I’m leaving the story open to be the first in a future series of Greenville novellas. This was my first time writing shorter than novel length. I enjoyed crafting the tight plot, and really focusing on the couple’s time together. There’s of course action and steamy scenes like those in the Sawtooth novels, but the focus stays on Reynolds and Alex. If the response to Bodyguard is positive, I will definitely be publishing more similarly styled novellas in the near future. Check it out here, free on Kindle Unlimited! I'm currently working on the first book in a series about Liam Blake. I'm planning the Blake books to be a trilogy. Those will available before publication for anyone interested in joining my Advance Review team. Reviews are so important for new readers to discover my books, so I'll be giving away new releases in exchange for honest reviews on Amazon.
My other current project is Bodyguard, a standalone novella featuring Reynolds Parker from Sawtooth Peaks. This story will be free for a limited time to people signed up for my newsletter, then available for purchase after. This will be a gift, no review required. :) While you wait, check out my newest cover, and happy reading! |
