This is the first novel in the Riverwood series. It's about a small town sheriff, Emma, and a grizzly enforcer. If you've read the Sawtooth Peaks series, you'll recognize Liam Blake. Both Emma and Liam are content to be alone, and need time together to realize that alone really isn't better. Since there's so much going on in Riverwood, all three books focus on Emma and Liam's journey. The story is rich with side characters that you will get to know over the course of all three books, some of which will find their own happily ever afters in Riverwood and in future series. There's more to learn about the Tribunal, its inner turmoil, and what it means to work for them. Each novel in Riverwood has its own story arc, and plays into the bigger picture that spans across the series.
